Privacy policy

Pagefold Reader is a PDF reader for Android from Anom, the app studio of Zest Plate LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Pagefold Reader.

We don't collect your personal data

• Pagefold Reader does not collect personal data.
• You don't need an account to use Pagefold Reader.
• Pagefold Reader includes no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.

Your documents stay on your phone

• PDFs are opened, searched and processed on your phone. Pagefold Reader never uploads your documents, and we cannot see them.
• When you open a PDF from another app, for example with Open with or Share, Pagefold Reader keeps a copy in its private storage so you can reopen it from the recent list. Removing the file from the list deletes that copy.
• The recent list (each file's name, size, page count and first-page preview), your favourites, your bookmarks and the page you last read are stored only on your phone.
• Files you make with the PDF tools are saved only where you choose, or sent to the app you pick when you share them.

Passwords

When you open a password-protected PDF, or add or remove a password, Pagefold Reader uses the password only to open or lock that file on your phone. It does not save the password.

Permissions

Pagefold Reader asks for no special permissions: no camera, no storage permission and no "All files access". It does not search your phone for PDFs. It can open only the files you pick with Android's file picker or send to it from another app.

The Scan button hands off to Pagefold, our separate scanner app, which has its own privacy policy: https://pagefold.anomllc.app/privacy/

Deleting your data

Remove a file from the recent list to delete the copy Pagefold Reader kept of it. Uninstalling Pagefold Reader deletes everything it stored. Copies you saved or shared elsewhere are not affected.

Children

Pagefold Reader is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
